Hi all,
Please comment this newbie (me) with my flash movie
production.
Thank you very much.
Hi,
couple of comments… if you want them?
I liked the music from the first page…couldn’t understand why u lost it? Would have been better to keep this looping, maybe introduce a drumbeat or something…
2nd point is the colour scheme…it’s very black…
I worked at sea for quite a while and there is so many different colours that you see…
mostly blue right enough, ha ha, but it changes with the weather and sun etc…
You could maybe introduce a bit more colour in the different sections…use a curve layout or something to suggest the waves, motion etc…
When you click on the first image to enter the site, you lose it and never see it again? seems a shame to load in this graphic and then it is gone…
I work at a really high resolution and the site just looked BIG…
Your menu seems to float (if you’ll pardon the pun) and when you click on it it jumps to the top of the screen…
The links here are not aligned properly, maybe this is how you want them?, but i am not a fan of it…didn’t like the sound either…
Might be an idea to introduce a navigation that is consitent and wont confuse or frustrate your user…
I know that this is one of your first sites…it is good…keep up the work and i am sure it will all come 2gether…
there are loads of ppl here who will help you and offer advice
good luck with it!
first make a splash page with the image you have of the ship i dont think the user should wait for the enter website option i had to wait about 2 minutes to get to enter the site im on 56k, your preloader takes a while to actually show up also if your using the preloader component check its linkage, more color and have a little more transition when the user changes sections it looks like its coming out of nowhere, a little color wouldnt hurt eighter and use some imagery from the sea and the products you plan to have available like anorak said its a website for products related to the sea try using a blue color sheme so the user uses the blue as reference to the water you can use 2 or 3 diffrent shades o blue or 2 shades of blue and some white
Grim
Thank you very much to both of you.
Initially i had the blue in mind but my client hate’s that colour.
I’ll have to admit that its “BIG” but this is how they want.
I’ll redo the navigation portion.
How do i speed up the initial loader ?
I followed the percentage preloader from this page.
I like thank again for the sincere comments.
