anyone have any idea how much to charge for a community website clone such as www.craigslist.org? no graphics. itd probably take weeks to write and debug it from the ground up. i’m interested in a flat fee not hourly fee.

I’d say it’d take me quite a bit longer than a week (if I were pressed, I’d budget at least a month, probably about 6 weeks to do it ‘right’ - if you can do it much faster than that, well, go for it, but you may not understand just how much that site really does)…
6 weeks = 240 hours, pick an hourly rate you think is fair (depending on your cost of living, how much you need the money, etc), and do the multiplication.
I would charge somewhere between 5000 and 10000 usd

Theres no graphics involved, just straight text. I’d say you could find someone to do it for less than half of the lower price.
