I’m trying to create the effect of ice to make a button.
I’ve made Ice effects in Photoshop, but cannot import the file into Flash MX with out it looking crap.
Is there a way I can creating authentic looking Ice in the program itself.

did you export in photoshop as a .jpg and selected maximum quality???
Yep I’ve saved it as a jpeg, and then imported it into Flash MX but it becomes a little blurry, and it keeps the white background of the picture.
I can’t remove the background in Flash MX to just leave the button image…it’s frustrating

i dont know why it becomes blurry (maybe antialiasing???) but when you create a new document in photoshop select transparent background and voila!
I’ve been using Photoshop for years.
and that never dawned on me. I was expecting it to be more difficult than that.

Use png’s! They work well with flash.
Yeah make it a png file. They use transparency if thats what you want. And they do look good in Flash. :thumb:
