Alienware will suck now.
I think it will help Dell have a better looking line (which they have started doing already), and Alienware prices will come down to a sane level. Looks good to me on both ends
Naw, there’s a reason alienware is expensive. I use one at work and the actually buy good parts to go inside of it. Dell puts crap in there stuff. I live down the road from a Dell factory and can’t beleive so many people buy their stuff.
WOHO, Dell and Alienware… Now, I dont have to choose between the two

Alienware is so expensive partly because of the brand image they have created. They have set themself up as the “Elite” computer, which allows them to charge more. Their custom cases are what really help them portray this image to consumers. Yeah they may have nice parts, but I’d say a lot of what the extra money is going to is just having the alienware brand.
Don’t Alienware also overclock components on thier products?

But have you ever asked how they became the “Elite”? Surely they must have done somethin more than just put good parts in a good looking case.
Dells dont buy crap parts lol. There computers are fast and very inexpensive. Go look at the E1705 (my bro’s playing Oblivion everything maxed with 4AA).
The best thing about Alienware are there cases they keep there computers cold and not 200 degrees.
So its a cold & good looking case then.
