Hi…i am working on the entrance page to my site.
I am very new to flash and web design, maybe this is insult to your skills, but i would be much appreciative if someone or people can give their feedback on how to “spruce” up my page.
Only just begun, please be kind to a basic beginner
well first of all, you should change some of that design, cuz it kinda resembles UNFLUX’s site. haha j/k
Id start by either creating a border in flash, or embedding your Flash file into a bordered table in HTML. Then you can center it, or use layers and snug it up to the top left corner. Also, you could take a screen capture, and take a little piece of the flash, and turn it into a tiled background. Seamless blending of Flash and HTML is really professional looking.
Thank you!
As i said , i’m working on the entrance page. I need it to be very clean looking.
To be honest, i really wanted to use orange, because my created logos are all orange, but i am having difficulty trying to find a site which is orange/flash and also similar style.
I tried making the sliding interface orange but it didn’t go with the white background.
I dont think your site is like unflux`s site !
For a begynner like me to !
But here is the url. http://www.unflux.com/
I still kant figur out how he loads up a movie in a allready loaded movie in a scense !
I’m not a pro or a master of anything, but from my past experience, here are some tips I could offer.
Always pre-plan your projects, whether it’s a flash site or any other kind of project. By brainstorming and sketching out your work on paper, you save a lot of time and cut down the amount of time you sit in front of the comp with a blank look on your face.
You can do simple sketches, marking down where such things like navigation and content are going to be. Doing this also helps you remember your ideas incase you forget later on.
When I build a flash site, here are the things I keep in mind.
How many sections will the site have? By determining this, you can decide how to break the site up into individual SWF’s.
What kind of transitions will the site have? When you have something in mind at the beginning, it will be easier to set up the timeline for it.
Will you be using vector or raster images or both? This is important because you’ll need to decide which is best to keep the file size down. Every image that I use, I carefully monitor the file size down to the byte because a few bytes here and there don’t seem much, but put them together and they’ll add up.
There are probably more I should put down, but those are the ones I could think of right now, it’s late and I’m tired.
I did every thing - draw the interface by hand in a paper dra every page + images + size + quality and sound. i began with the interface and it turnd out what i whant i added the intro animation of it on the interface Dark/Blue it turnd out good like i whant it to be ! but when i was placing the buttons it turnd out very *** not nice and o my god jesus i dont know this is hard like !
I think im jumping to hard with flash mx every site i make there is things i kant do and the project stops ! then i creat a new one…
In photoshop its okay i love it and i no prob. but in flash mx oh this actionscript(s) its kind of hard to know what every action script do !
