I am currently in the market for a digital camera. I’ve used many different brands but I’ve never actually shelled out the money for my own.
Well I’m about ready to and I would love to get everyone’s opinion’s on their favorite makes/models.
I’m looking for high megapixel, good zoom and great quality. I will be primarily using it for web/graphic design and some photography so high-res is a must.
I’m planning on spending around $600-$900 on the camera. Any help is appreciated!
I was looking at the Fuji FinePix S7000, so comments on that would be great too :).
I am very fond of the sony mavica. I have 2. And old one that takes floppy and the newer cd one. I believe they are the best bang for the buck and the support is very good. They have all the features of the big boys. I think the newest one is up to 5 mega pixels. (which is newer than my newest model). Yu can drift off into the 1,000+ models if you want to get off into telescoping lenses and what have you. Althoug I have a fish eye lens for mine so there are aafter market stuff for it. I recommend the mavica.
Bergy I have a Canon Powershot G3 , and it rocks, might be a bit out of your price range, but if you want here is a good site to check out all the latest cameras with reviews and comparison.
*Originally posted by bergy * I just checked out the G5 I think I really want it!
Its a awesome camera, the G3 i have is basically the same as the G5 only the G5 is 1 megapixel more, and really all that is, it is 200 pixels more of a image both ways.
The g3 has given me some breathtaking photos even using Auto mode!! :!:
