Digital Cameras - ARGH!

MAN OH MAN!! :scream: Iā€™m having such a bad time picking out a good digital camera. I donā€™t want something real expensive because Iā€™m not a serious photographer, I just want it for football/hockey games and taking pictures of my drunk friends this new school year.

Iā€™ve been looking at the Fuji FinePix series (real interested in the 3800), they look like some solid cameras

Any one have other suggestions?! Cause Iā€™m going bonkers over hereā€¦ :m:

I use a very simple Samsung Digimax 200, which sells for under $200 ā€¦

It has all the features I could possibly use, plus takes very nice, clear imagesā€¦

I have a client who uses a $5,000.00 digital camā€¦ I really canā€™t see the diff. especially for the $. A larger megapixel would be nice, if you are going to print larger than 5x7, but I rarely print anything, and when I do, 5x7 is fine.

jmo, tho

I whant this one, Is it good ?

KODAK CX6200

Try google search for more information/

i just (a month ago) got a new camera, itā€™s a 4.0 megapixel konica. it works awesome, and was only 320 bucks.
anyway, check out www.jandr.com they have some low prices on awesome cameras

This is my cameraā€¦

I donā€™t see the need for those tiny little fancy cameras, you young hooligans!

  • Soul :s:

kodak easyshare cameras are great

I dont understand this
Digitalt kamera 2 Megapixel og 3 x digital zoom.

2 megapixel whats that ? :ub:

itā€™s the quality of the pics
higher megapixel = higher quality
ie the picture isnā€™t pixelized even though itā€™s larger.
i believe the TOP of the line (the 5000 dollar one) is 15 megapixel

woaw !!

15 mp

is 2 mp good for a low price ? like $700

lol
yes, an EXTREMELY good price
generally, a fair price is just under 100 dollars per megapixel

Digital zoom just allows you to zoom in much in the same way you zoom into jpeg in photoshop, when you zoom in your picture becomes more pixelated. Thatā€™s how I understand it.

My dad bought a 4 Megapixel camera, Cannon S45:

Itā€™s really not a big deal with high res. My camera shoots up to 1280 but itā€™s kind of pointless because you really donā€™t need that much.

I just stick with 1024 and itā€™s fine. I think 3 or 2 is prolly enough.

I have a Canon Elph 3.2 mp w/ a 128mb card and it rocks. No problems at all, takes video, etcā€¦ Great camera for around $300. Iā€™m sure you could find one maybe on EBay or something but I couldnā€™t reccomend it more highly

//edit// donā€™t spend 700 for a 2mp, I would cry. But I will sell you a 2mp for 700 if youā€™re hellbent on throwing money away. :wink:

LOL !!!

700 is in Norwegian money !!!

700kr is like 100 dollars or 70$ lol sorry :!:

I bought a Canon IXUS 400 a few weeks back. Stunning cameraā€¦ for me itā€™s the perfect balance between a fun/serious camera. High megapixels (4m) but small and compact enough that it can go everywhere with you. Brilliant stuff! Takes great photos (Check the ā€˜Malaysia piccy-wicciesā€™ thread ;))

i have the olumpus C-740, its 500 bucks, but it is 10X digital 30x Seamless zoom, 3megapixel, the latest xD MEdia Memory Cardā€¦ awesome cameraā€¦

go for fuji ā€¦ all the timeā€¦

I have a Fuji finepix, get it - you wont be disappointed, its awesomeā€¦ Its a proper camera, not just one of these drop in your pocket camera lookin things.

Those arenā€™t bad. FujiFilm has theā€¦ wellā€¦ ā€œFuji coloursā€, which are a lot different then the famous ā€œCanon coloursā€, but I think Fuji is closer to reality than Canon sometimes. Anyway, whatever you choose (Fuji or Canon), itā€™s good.
