Do you actually want the agent, though

I keep reading about AI agents automating business operations and thinking: most people don’t actually want that. They want their email client to stop burying important messages. They want spreadsheets that don’t break when you move a column. They want reports that don’t exist because the data’s already where it needs to be.

The grunt work people hate isn’t the task itself. It’s that the task exists because some tool was designed badly. You don’t need an agent to handle your inbox if your inbox works.
