I took a job doing some PHP. Its pretty simple, basically its just a duplicate of a site he already has but with a few extra things added. It should only take me a few days or a week at the most. He wants it done quickly and he wants me to give him a set price.
One of my old lecturers recommeded me to him so I told him I would ask her about how much to charge. She said I should take the number of hours I think it will take and work it out at about $40 (AUD) an hour. If work about 6 hours a day on it until friday it comes to around $900 (AUD).
I can tell hes a cheapskate because his business is getting discounts for people.
Does this seem like too high a price? He will probably try and talk me down to a lower amount.
