ok so, i have learned how to use little cool effects such as the fading text. so as i create it in the Macromedia Flash MX editor, it looks good. the fading effect works. the text goes from one color to another. but when i export/publish/convert it to .swf, it doesnt work. the fading wont show in the .swf file. but it does in the Macromedia Flash MX editor. someone please help.:*(
Check your publish settings. (File–>Publish Settings…)
Version: Flash Player 6
Options: (Uncheck all except compress movie)
JPEG quality (I suggest 80-100)
Hope this works. :}
with luck not being on my side, it didnt work. thanks anyways
Can you post your file?
you said something about converting it to swf.
Are you just renaming your .fla file to .swf?
If that is what you are doing then you need to publish your movie as an .swf
first of all, i can post my file and i will. secondly, when i said convert, i meant publish.
-thanks for the replies
Chack to make sure you are not using dynamic text or device fonts. Device fonts have a _ in front of them. EX: _sans.
I whipped up a quick little file for you to look at… Hopefully this helps. Preview it in Flash (press enter) Then try testing movie (cntrl + enter)
Im sure you’ll see the difference.
I had this problem too. Someone here said it might be due to stop actions in my movie. I took them out and it seemed to work ok.
ah thanks a bunch. the problem was that the font was set as dynamic and not static. once i made them static it worked. thanks.
