My brother had ME come automatic on his sytem (Gateway), and he had me over his place once a week to fix a crashed computer. I would always have to reformat and reinstall. A friend of mine had ME and it kept deleting system files on him so when he would start up it would say that system files were missing and he needed to reinstall windows. Another friend that had it also had a ton of issues with ME.
I use XP and haven’t had any problems whatsoever, and most everyone I talk to says the same. But that doesn’t mean people don’t though
If you can afford it Windows XP Pro is great. If you don’t, I think windows 98 SE is the best and lightest operating system I have experienced before XP.
