Firefox 2.0 Alpha 1 'Bon Echo' Released

Get it here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/bonecho/alpha1/

Description here: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/bonecho/releases/2.0a1.html

I posted this using it, by the way, but I haven’t had time to play around with it much.

Watch out if you don’t think you’re going to keep it, it will disable your extensions (Even in Firefox).

-Flash installs without having to restart the browser
-Go menu is now ‘History’ menu

Im a little skeptical on alphas:look:

I’m on it now. Looks the same, feels the same, what’s the difference??

I can’t tell a difference either. It was supposed to be awesome for Mac. :frowning:

There’s the release notes. The main thing that has been redesigned is the bookmarks and history management.

I could’ve sworn Mike showed me a cool screenshot of what the next version of Firefox was supposed to look like on Mac.

Or was that Krilnon?

yipee firefox! firefox = cool!

mac = po…o yea i said id stop that

Shut up. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Or was that Krilnon?

It wasn’t me. I hope that they add in some more noteworthy features before the next release, it seems that 1.0.x > 1.5.x had more changes and features added than this (so far).

Haven’t you got some building to jump off?

I suggest that we return to the topic and keep everything under control.

I’ve been wondering where it gets the # of times visited statistic in the Places window. Kirupa.com has a really large number, but other sites that I know I have been to more than once only show ‘1’. My history clears every day, and I’m pretty sure that I haven’t been to Kirupa.com more than 1000 times in the last day, so it wouldn’t be getting it from that.

Do minor changes like bug fixes really constitute as a whole other version?
