Hello everyone,
Has anybody run into a solution for this… I made an image in photoshop converted it into a png file and imported it into flash 5. the image looks great working static in flash but when I go to test it the image degrade quite a bit.is there any way to stop this from happening?
Ralph
right click on the image in the library and adjust its compression settings by selecting properties…
Thanx
let me go check that out right now…
in Flash 5, you need to adjust your publish settings.

senocular,
Thanx for the tip… it’s 86% better which is saying alot…
still looking for 100% but I will take what I have…
Thanks
reverendflash thanx,
I went to publish settings but there wasn’t anything I could see that would increase the image quality bit depth will go no higher than 24…
optimize colors is on smoothing is on…need my gradients no dither…
the palet type is only 216… can’t see anyway to increase that
and I am not using any filter options…
ralph
adjust your jpeg settings here. Also make sure you are publishing on high quality.

Thanx Rev,
Big picture…So adjusting the Jpeg quality will improve my PNG,
This is good to know. Knowledge is power…thanx
Ralph
What helped me with that prob was, leave 10px space at the borders of the pic you import. And then when you place it in flash, leave no decimals… Then it should work fine
I tweaked as much with the settings as possible b ut not getting the quality I want. C!rYx, I don’t know what you mean about decimals…
is there something I should do in photoshop prior to import… also I noticed that even at 100% quality in flash… jpgs are still aliasing in test mode…
