I am glad they have decided to rebuild.
I hope they also cater to the families and have an everlasting memorial there as well.
They better…!
I just hope someone won’t crash into it again…
I am glad they are rebuilding the smaller trade centers, but i hope they do not do anything but make a memorial with ground zero. to me that would be the only suttible thing to do. also, each tower was worth bout 3Trill. USD, so it would be very impractical to do anything else, but a memorial would be worth while i think.
Phil i never though of the fact that we would have to buy the land…it is a good point. although, i think that he sh/c ould find it in his heart to at least donate SOME land of ground zero to build a memorial, nothing special or super expensive, just something to get the point acrosse. although i do have a hard time seeing why not, mainly because i dont pay taxes, but i guess when i look at it your way it has its ups and downs,
There should not be a memorial built there. That land is probably worth about a billion dollars and I really don’t think the tax payers should have to buy that expensive land. Its not like the government made a memorial at Pearl Harbot instead of rebuilding it, they shouldn’t build a memorial instead of rebuilding the WTC’s.
I feel sorry for the victims and their families but why should they be given a memorial when the people who are shot or die from cancer aren’t? Death is a part of life and no person’s life/death should be valued above anothers.
yea phil i think along the same lines as you…i would most definately hope they would build a memorial…but ground zero is in the heart of downtown new york and it is indeed worth billions or trillions or whatever the price is and they simply wouldn’t give up that land when they can make money off it…but then again, under all the public scrutiny they might make some sort of memorial…i think simply have to or else there will be public outcry
I don’t want my tax money going there either, and yes I do pay taxes, and no I’m not old enough to smoke.
A few thousand in taxes… But I don’t mind, as long as the government doesn’t go off on crusaids…
