Photoshop. Create a thing , add noise, adjust the levels, set to screen, save for web, (in flash) use a mask to cover jsut what you want

And don’t forget, when you save, save as a either PNG-24 (ment for flash, but makes the file size sky rocket) or GIF (small, but a bit lower quality)

ok copper. hey i think i have a problem with my photoshop 7. when i used the type tool and type the word i want the text is not crisp. I mean the edges looks a bit funny. what do you think caused this? you think its because i didn’t update the software?

uh, no. I don’t have photoshop 7 (yet!) but I can try in photo6. just give a description of what you want.
