Help With Text Issues

Ok Everyone,

Here’s the problem, I am working on a new flash website. My interface is complete. I looked at the site on my system and everything seems to look great. I used a 6 pt. pixel font for my text and it looked great. I put the text in as dynamic, turned off anti-alias, and did everything else I’m supposed to make the text come out right.

Then I posted the site to test it. It looked the same. I then called my mother and a freind to look at the site to check it from outside my home network. They both told me that the larger fonts had rough edges and the pixel fonts were small and blurry. What gives???

Would any of youlike to take a look at the site at www.desertdesignworks.net and see if you get the same? Maybe then you could give me some hints as to what may be wrong.

Thanks,

Kelly

You need to embed your font outlines so other people without the font installed can see it.

Select your text box and open the properties window. Click on the button that says “Character…” and choose embed font outlines for whichever you want.

If you pixel font is not one for Flash, this will cause anti-aliasing and make it look ugly.

Also, be sure your textbox is on exact x, y coords, meaning that in the properties window it should not have a decimal number under the X and Y options.
