How does one do this effect, see images link.

The lights that gleam upward. I know how to do the gradient accross, but not the gleaming light.

I think that there is a much easier way in Photoshop CS. (that is what I use)
The thing is --that I do not need to use text, I want it just like the image that I posted is like.
Without using text —I don’t know what to bonce the rays off of.

i didn’t say you were supposed to use text, tutorials are meant for users who wanna know how to create some effect, you don’t have to follow them tutorials exactly, they are just guidelines, twist them a little, turn them a little until you get the desired effect

photoshop and all other graphic tools are a lot about trying and figuring out for yourself

on my second reply, just wanted to know if you knew of a tool in CS that could be used.
Being that cs has a lot more additional features than the previous photoshops.
Didn’t mean to 'ruffle any feathers’
but I appreciate the reply’s

don’t know a lot about CS, still working with ps 7, maybe with some improved lightning effects or so, but i’m not quite sure
