what is a mod?
Being a mod is no different then being a member.
You help people out and you get help by others when you need it, just like everyone else.
The only difference is that you have the responsibility of moving and deleted the millions of threads that people post in the wrong section or crosspost… and boy does that get annoying fast!
Oh yeah and as Philbertha will say “You will be part of the ‘Kirupa Council’” 
But really theres not much difference.
That description does not put an attractive face on the job…
Well what a mod is is just a member that goes around and keeps order in the forum.
We move threads
We delete threads and posts
and we can ban members if they cause trouble.
We are like janitors pretty much 
Nothing too special about it.

They banned God and Allah. :-/
Then some guy that started trouble with Dan in the battle section.

I banned one of this other guys name (not going to mention it) but he came back with the same name multiple times just added a number to the end, so Kirupa banned by IP (only he has that power). Then I banned another person for bad mouthing this forum saying it sucks and it is the worse forum they have ever been to and it didn’t live up to its reputation… blah blah blah.
Then I was going to ban this other person, but I let david do it because they talked mad shiznat on david.
And I believe we let Philbertha ban God and Allah (same person), although I think Dan might have banned one, then unbanned them so Phil could ban it again.
Seriously though, I value this forum. I have searched around for some rules or regulations and can’t find any, do they exist?
They did, but people didn’t read them. So we took them down. Most people come here and they do what they should. Ask quesitons, help when they can and they aren’t jerks. If someone does come and causes a problem, they get warned and then they get banned. Kirupa has put too much effort into this site and forum to have to put up with stupid people. We don’t tolerate it and we try to keep this place free of mass stupidity. Unfortunately we are forced to keep Phil and Mak… but they are the only exceptions.
Yeah, everyone who gets banned gets a warning prior to banning so either they can clean up their act or get out.
