I ordered a shiny new 22" flat screen monitor last week to be delivered to work. Then on monday-wednesday i was really sick, so couldn’t make it into work. It was delivered on monday, so on top of being ill i had to make do with my crappy and dieing 19" crt monitor knowing that my new one was just miles away but inaccessible.
Today i made it back to work. Went down at lunch to pick it up from reception (it was stored where all packages are, in the cloakroom), only to find that the box had been opened and the monitor taken! The packaging then replaced back in the box and the box put back, empty, but with the open side against a wall so that it looked fine.
Firstly i should say that i know it was none of my fellow workmates, as i trust them all. But the building has had work done on it’s door and somehow someone must have found the time to do the deed … somehow. We can’t really figure out how it was done.
So here I am, sat at home still feeling quite ill, safe in the knowledge that some **** now has my monitor. 
So so so annoying. I’m just hoping that work’s insurance covers other peoples possessions.
