My studio along with several other offices where broken into last Sunday night and robbed. They took about $30k worth of equipment including two HD cameras. They only got two workstations, my guess is they got scared and took off as there where another 6 or so unplugged and ready to go. Of course one of the PC’s and two external drives they took had a current video project that we are working on along with about five other archived video project including a big project for NASA from 2001. They took a DV deck with the tape from the current project in it as well.
My question is how do I account for the amount of loss to my insurance company? Does anyone have any experience with this? The problem is that some of the projects can’t be re-done. Do we just get compensated for what we got paid for the projects or what?
Thanks for any info.
