I just looked through 5 hours of

“the making” of LOTR.

Had no idea.

Blown away.

Dead in the water. These guy are out of their minds.

I watched about 10 minutes of that but then I heard it was 5 hours long and I jumped off a bridge. I thought it was super boring.

what channel? we did’nt get it here in dubai yet… i hope to watch it and then watch the movie…its weird.I hav’nt seen the series till now.

I guess it depends on your scope of appreciation. I found it extraordinarily fascinating how they made every single prop, from bottles to brooms to every piece of armor from scratch. I dunno. I’m just really attracted to effort, in a way.

Yeah i watched every minute of the making of on every dvd. But i used to be in 3d animation for film so it is of particular interest to me. I do like making of’s though as a rule. When a dvd has hardly any extra features i always feel cheated!

LOTR is one of those series of movies where you don’t have to love the plot, or story…but be amazed at the technical details and presentation.

I despise LOTR, but out of curiosity, what aspects were you most impressed with, when watching the making of?
