HOW magazine touts pink as one of about three “new” color trends expected to boom.
T-Mobile has a pink logo, and those HP ads! It’s everywhere!
I like the clash of eye-burning purple with grunge-inspired blacks/greys, very nice. Bright purple is the new pink! 
(seriously, good color scheme. very post-modern and contemporary, but still semi-minimalist)
After a second look:
I think the easing could be smoother on the navigation, and I would suggest dropping the blinking text – to help add to the overall serenity impressed by the layout. (maybe a slow fade from one color to another)

i tried a fade on the button but it didnt work… gonna keep the blinking i reckon cos it adds movement…the site seems too static otherwise…
No, I agree with khawar, the pink has to go. I don’t care how popluar it is! :crazy: Try something that sits more with grunge, something dark an menacing.

Hmm, its hard to say which is better i like them both. However, the purple one would work better if when you roll ‘off’ the button the writing went white instead of black so that you can read it.
Other than that im liking the purple a bit more. That’s a really nice photo on the opening page too you should definatly stick with it.
speed up the blink and I think it would be cool

although, i think the grunge background is a bit too apparent…
maybe a little less opaque…
oh, and maybe a very soft shadow on the main window and toolbar.
i hate that pink its the worst pink ever!! go with the grape purple! i can take the grape hubba bubba!! mmmmmmmmmm
There is a clash here between the strong, dark contrast of the picture and the bubble-gum flavor of the interface. Neither is bad, but one or the other needs to change to give a uniform “feel”.
pink and black go very well together imo
what colour would you use?
I like the purple better than the pink. And, I agree using text color other than black on a mouse off would be readable.
im gonna have to go with the pink cos there has to be an accent colour. the purple brings the whole page down in think, too moody…
