kobe hit a buzzer beater in OT to win by 1 off a jump ball with 6 seconds to go.
kobe won? don
t you mean the lakers, unless it’s one on one, or the other lakers were useless:P
i just watched the hilights of the two shots, awesome stuff from kobe, lakers up 3-1! and dare i say that overtime winning shot was jordan-ish. lol i know i know … different players different era’s but was glimpses of mj’s brillance in the clutch.
I’m a Suns fan over a Lakers, but all hardcore fans of opposing teams will be quick to always say that it’s a ref decision instead of a clutch game performance.
^ exactly! he still had to make the shot. sorry had to make BOTH shots. No matter what the call was or wasnt.
No, all fans who know the rules of basketball will be quick to always say that it’s a ref decision. But I take nothing away from Kobe, he is a great player and those were two great shots he made. But he wouldn’t have taken it had the refs not give it to him.
Well I’m very aware of the rules of the game if that’s what you’re hinting at. But the fact of the matter is, is that MOST people only notice EVERYTHING when it comes down to the crunch, and the fact that we have a wider scope of the court and the game play is much slower to us than those on the court, or field (depending on what game you’re playing) makes it “easier” for us to say such things. For instance I’m watchin the Cleveland game ATM, and they’ve called 4 personal offensive fouls on Lebron and those to ME sure didn’t look like offensive fouls.
Gimme a break. We all know that NBA refs are known to make more biased calls than any other refs of the five major sports. We all know that refs try to create an exciting finish to a hard fought game. Had they called the foul on Walton, Nash would have gotten to the line, most likely hit both free throws, and the series would be tied at 2. BORING. The Lakers got another chance and Kobe shined. We all knew as soon as Kobe got ahold of the ball with 4 seconds left that he would shoot and he would make. I sat there watching in horror knowing that the refs had just taken yet another game into their own hands.
