At first the name put me off (Easyshare sounds like it’s meant for the super-lowend consumer), but I think I really want it now.

Has anybody tried this before? I really like the stabilization (I can’t hold a camera to save my life), and especially the price (well, it’s a bit higher than I wanted to spend, but I think I will split it with my parents for my birthday).
The Z650 below it (I mean, slightly worse), doesn’t have stabilization features, and several of the reviews on Amazon said it was almost impossible to use the 10x zoom because of this. Yeah, so I definitely want the Z612 instead.
Also, I’m curious about using different lenses. Can I change it myself, or what? One review stated you need an adapter to use regular 35mm lenses, but are there different lenses that aren’t generic, that’ll fit without the adapter? Can I even take off the lens (that’s one feature I hate about my Cybershot)?
