Macromedia and the makers of MP3 seem to be at odds over the terms of a license to use compressed audio content in Flash.
According to Thomson’s mp3licensing.com, any commercial organization that distributes MP3 content (that’s us) is liable for 2% of revenues from that activity – or a minimum of $2000 per year. If you or your clients earn less than $100,000 a year, then you’re off the hook.
