I have heard the term line art thrown around here a few times. What is it? I think I know but I refer to it by a different term. I call it vector art. If I am mistaking please correct me and set me straight.

Yeah, line art and vector art are different.
Vector art just refers to anything done in Vector, Line Art refers to… well, read kits excellent tutorial to find out 
I always thought line art = vector art?

No because you can have the techy type of vector art as well, which I don’t think constitutes as line art… does it?
i always think of line art as “tracing and coloring in vector”, not vector itself. JMHO
Ren that is what I thought and seems to be the case. I was just curious. I never really use the pencil tool and I thought that maybe was the difference. Since the pencil tool is not a vector tool.
I think whenever you use a vector tool it is vector art. BUt it seems you can use vector tools to make line art so it is the old tomatoe tomato discussion.

It is one of those… all line art is vector art, but not all vector art is line art deals…LOL.

I want to go to design school. When I get the chance I was thinking maybe a vocational school, ya know, since colleges don’t like me apparently :-\

I went to “vocational school” for design… It is more expensive, but you don’t have to take “Social Economics” and such crap that I will never use, except to argue at cocktail parties (and with Unca Philbo)…
I felt that with a little motivation on my part I could get what I wanted from the instructors they had… I think it worked…

More expensive? Wow, it is cheaper here to go to vocational school. People tend to consider it not as good as college here though, that is why I didn’t apply to one when I originally applied to colleges.
