Fish that are raised in Salmon Farms are dyed pink, to give them that appetizing look, when laid out in the store. There is a company in Boise ID, called ironically Sea Pac of Idaho (where is the sea in Idaho?), that raises trout, feeds them beta caratine, and sells them to restaurants as “baby salmon.”
