New site needs critique'd badly

I got about this far with it and am running into a few problems.

  1. The buttons are boring, but I like them. What would you guys suggest I do to liven them up a bit? (Preferably the borders of the buttons OR maybe laying a background down behind them that makes them look less boring.)

  2. Title Image - That one is really just a place holder until I think of something better. I was thinking about making a title image/button background that meshed with the background color of the table. Any suggestions on what would be cool there are very welcome.

  3. Color Schemes - I’m color retarded… I really have no idea what to do with the color scheme. I wanted to steer clear of a lighter scheme and ended up with gray + random bright primary colors. :frowning:

  4. Main area (“This is where things go Durby”) - That simple table looks really boring… I’m not sure how to fix it. :frowning:
