How does my site look?

Well i just opened the doors to my site " MX Entertainment " , check it out! it stands for Matrix Xtreme Entertainment , it i will be about my flash movies, go in and tell me how it looks, check out the guest book too :slight_smile:

ok… I like it…
I am NOT a pro
BUT

Here are some observations:

  1. The green is a lil’ hard on the eyes

  2. The graphic/banner at the top would look much better if the left side reached the other side of the screen (just like the right side) OR maybe centering the banner would work.

  3. It looks like the backgroud is 2 graphics

  4. The text inside the banner is a bit hard to see. Try sharpening up the contrast on that bad boy.

Overall, you gotta cool, clean, simple layout. I think that is a good thing. These robot machine interfaces are over-rated.

Okay, big web design no-no is something that is hard to read on a black background. That green is so bright I could not even really get a good look at the layout to comment on it. Maybe you could tone it down a bit?

wow maybe my color is messed. i didnt see any problems whatsoever with thecolor. my bad the color i have must be messed up then

it might be something with your monitor or its settings-
that green could be okay in small doses- just don’t overdue it

that won’t really matter tho, because the colors will look the same and his monitor will still interpret the colors the same way… And yes, the green is too harsh.

matrix, check out your site on another computer. if it looks the same then its your eyes that are messed up. :stuck_out_tongue:

lol i did, it looked fine on my bro-in laws comp…i dunno ill see if more people think its looking bad and if its not then your colors are messed :stuck_out_tongue:

i think the color choice is horrible, it’s not my eyes or anyone elses.

try to get a consistent color scheme, make your layout a little more fluid, and fix the many image and linking errors.

umm the linking erros are normal the site isnt 100% completed, i am still working on the graphics layout, i haven’t done the other pages yet thats whyt he links aren’t up. oh and for the color scheme, different people have different likes/dislikes, i understand you don’t like the color but i cant make different version to please everyone else. but some would like the scheme, i personally like it. i like the way i did the logo it looks sortof icy lookin :). the site will be done maybe in a few days, i just need to plane the side bar menu, which im still brainstorming

I don’t understand Matrix. You posted this site for some constructive criticism which you got. Of course it’s the way you like it, otherwise you wouldn’t have built it. However, by posting it in site check and asking people what they think of it, you are going to recieve some criticism. You shouldn’t just respond to it by saying that’s the way you like it and acting offended. Poeple have told you how your site looks, and ways to make it better, to appeal to more people, which I’m sure you want. It is your choice whether you want to keep it the way it is or not, but dont get upset at people for trying to help. :stuck_out_tongue:

i wans’t getting upset all i said was it depends how people like it i didn’t have any problem with your critiscm, i was just saying that i like it and so do others probably it all depends what you like, i had no offence to your post.

The layout is ok, but the colors are indeed too fluorescent & hard on the eyes. And eeh, I hate to brake this to yah but … check your poll results …
