My client provided me with some sketches of what they want for a logo here is one. see next post for my submission
This is what I put together. 1a is a wild card I always throw one of those in. They are totally sold on the idea of the logo being 3d. I could not convince them other wise. So let me have it ya’ll.
I think the gray is not the best choice of colors for the background, but I don’t really know.
Maybe it would look cool if you indented the letters into the block, instead of outdented(that’s a word, I swear).
It’s not bad though, I like it, but it could be better I think, especially seeing your other logos.
oh yeah, the colors were hand picked :trout: by them… They really tied my hands on this one. But I will try the indent idea…definately.
maybe try the u on the top of the block?
tried it…it looked very whacked and off balance. I think the indented idea will work much better
the more I look at it. The more I dont like it…ggrrrrr…And I cant put this cr@p out there.
1b is the cleanest out of these. you mind showing us a version with the U on top?
I like 1 no joke it’s fine I think but lets see the “indented” :be:
yeah, 1b is nice out of the group, i wouldnt mind seeing the rendered sketch from your first post, hate to see that this client is dragging this job out for you…
what if you made the “U” the floor, and have the “E” sticking up the front right side - and make that it - no walls or cub just u as the bottom face and the e as the front right face.
wont that make the u look like a reversed C though pr?
putting the arms of the U facing NorthWeat and the curve facing SouthEast won’t…
Hmmm… I don’t agree w/ that font usage on any of the logos. I don’t know that the font itself is very impacting. I don’t really think any logo is stronger than the other as they are all the same except for a different font. Not really feelin’ the UE on the box either, dunno just seems like it’s not strong enough.
One thing that I do like though is 1c’s and 1’s drop shadow behind the box. I don’t think a drop shadow works for logos but, if you make a maybe 3-4 pt stroke around it I think you would get the same impact, and help set it off.
Anywho that’s just my lowley opinion.
yea I agree with just about all comments. This is the first time my hands have ever been completely tied when doing a logo. Everything was picked and decided before I even stepped in the room. But I am going to put together their concepts and still try to push another concept (mine). But they are pretty sold on everything you see here. Font and all. :trout: And yes this has been drug out. I actually forgot they were a client for a while…lol. I was waiting for feedback on some other logos and it took quite a long time. But I’ll some better stuff to post a little later.
