Well after a lot of help from the Kirupa tuts, and all the great people on the forum, i’ve finally finished my portfolio site…I think!
I would be greatful for any feedback that anyone is kind enough to give…
so here goes…
The only thing i’ve noticed that could be improved is the pre loader. It seems to flash when first loading the page, then the new page animation plays before the pre loader has opened!
Hmmm, i’ll have to work on that.
Any suggestions out there?

The site is decent, actually, I was expecting much less. The design is rather bland, you only used solid fills and theres no interesting patterns. I’d start aquanting myself to Photoshop or Fireworks if I were you, it would bring your site to the next level to have some nice imagery there instead of the rounded-rectangle with purple fill, etc. if you know what I mean. You should also work on more advanced buttons, as in, have them animated for rollover, rollout, and press instead of just having a change in color. Your font is pretty ugly too, you might want to try a more rounded one.
Don’t get me wrong, your site is nice. Your flash skills are solid too, you’re so close to creating a really cool site, you just need to get the right design ideas and I think you have the skillset to get there.

Hmm i agree with the others your site is not as bad as u make out…
although that old guy on the front page seemed out of place the sound effects were nice overall i would like to see more randomness on ur site?

I think you need to up the fps on your flash (it’s pretty choppy, upping it will help) and the image on your intro page isn’t showing up.
if you quickly click along the buttons at the top, it messes up. might want to fix this?
it needs better sound effects! the current ones amke it feel very amaturish.

Poor choice of fonts, poor choice of sounds. Other then that it cool.

I was aiming for a ‘keep it simple and clear’ design. But maybe your right, it could be a bit more ‘jazzed’ up…
I’ll think i’ll give it a rest for week or so, and then come back and tinker!

The design is nice and sleek but seems to be lacking something. Many of the images on the sections don’t seem to fit right. The buttons need something, maybe rollIn/rollOut could help. I’m not sure how I feel about the red for the mouseovers as well.

Good job though! It’s shows some nice flash skills and it’s looking toward being great!
Yea I agree with digital. Font selection is poor and the sounds have to go but other than that it’s alright.
also, it doesn’t load in FF

So can anyone suggest a good font that I can download, and where from, and/or advise me what’s so bad with the one i’ve used?
Also, can anyone reccomend where I can get some high class sounds? Where does everyone else get theirs?

you can download pixel fonts from there that go nice with flash.
