Pretty cool

At this point, I’m really starting to think you are spamming. There is no need for all of these threads anymore when you aren’t taking a single piece of advice from any of them.

I accidentally decapitated Pinador the floating-face-down dragon.

I love these threads. Heh. :thumb:

Pinador lacks vertabrae.

Maybe vertebrae lack Pinador.

You are one strange cookie.

No, really.

That is a LIE. I re-created the globe from scratch based on the advice from this forum and I also changed my fonts and color combinations. If it weren’t for all of the negative feedback I’ve received, I would have left the tacky spinning globe alone. I’ve also taken EXTENSIVE tutoring in ActionScript from someone I met on this forum but I’m not going to sit here and explain everything I’ve learned to my antagonist. If you have me kicked off of this forum for posting my latest showcases, then I’ll just join a forum where there are less punks.

Yeah, this isn’t spam at all… Each thread is different. And if she doesn’t ask for critiques then you should just assume it’s a showcase. No need to get all uptight about it.

profound

Actually if Lyraka programmed this itself (herself/himself) then it’s actually quite advanced, especially compared to that ****ing globe

There looks to be a handcoded tween, some sort of flocking code where the segments target the next segment, and also a rotation function.

Unless it’s some out of the box code, and it just added it’s own graphics, which is the far, far more likely scenario

Ah, I haven’t seen that SWF in a long time.

Woa…

Just another lesson to people that look at open source code. Give credit where credit is due.

So much for your extensive flash experience. Please give credit where it is due. That is why the nice open source resources are drying up. Because folks dont give credit, then it’s like “why share”.

What REALLY gets to me is that people download open source classes, use them in their projects and delete all the comments in the class (including made by etc) and then re-share it.

Hahahahahahaha

It’s pretty much unchanged too. In fact, I am surprised it managed to edit anything at all.

I didn’t ask you to explain, I was more or less complaining (oh, no!) that you were creating multiple threads without taking our advice. As people have pointed out extensive turtoring is not taking people’s open source codes. And as far as I can tell looking over your site, the globe is pretty much the only thing that has changed. The colors still remain virtually untouched and the nav is still completely inconvient from a UI stand point. Not to mention a number of poor design choices (including a the pointer turning into a breathing dragon). So, I, your antagonist as you so kindly put, will explain no further why you have managed to post probably 5 or more threads basically ignoring advice. If this is just for showcase then I would say the other 5 threads were adequate enough.

Lyraka, looking at high end code like Sens’ is an invaluable learning tool, but to learn you have to study the code, not just copy and paste it. That’s pointless and goes against the whole concept of open source code.

Cool work dude, keep it up
