I’ve been talking with a client that had their website originally built by an intown development studio. They came to me to be their webmaster, to update their site as necessary. They are a home builder so they really only need updates as new communities are built and when that occurs, it is a pretty hefty update (one that they could not do on their own).
Now they want to have a map/navigation similar to KBHOME.com, which you can see in the lower right corner (US). When you click on the states, it brings you to city maps, and even closer to developments in those cities. They would like to implement something like this in their site. I am confident that I can build it for them, but am unsure as to how much the work should cost.
I’m still trying to develop my base for pricing, but the job looks like it would require quite a bit of work.
So my question for all of you is, if this was your job, what would you charge?
