My problem: I’m fixing a thinkpad T23 for a family member, the laptop will stay on for about 5 minutes before going to fatal error blue screen. They had problems with viruses etc so I managed to install spyware doctor, then just before the laptop goes off a trojan horse is detected. I have tried everything to get rid of it but by the time it starts up it goes off! I have also tried to set it back to factory settings using the designated partition with no luck.
Has anyone got any ideas how I can get this sorted?
