I love PS2 and GC… I have fun stories about them.
I got PS2 at launch… I was younger and stupid then… then after a while I got tired of it, then I traded it in for a GC… then I wanted a PS2 again so I ended up gettin one for Chritmas… For a while I had PS2 and GC… but then I never played my GC so I traded it with this kid for a GBA cuz I’m generous like that. I don’t play my GBA or PS2 like at all anymore. lol… me and my wierd video gamingness.
Oh yeah, I have a SNES… and it’s the best system ever.
There is no better console, it’s a matter of opinion and tastes.
Gamecube isn’t better than Xbox, Xbox isn’t better than PS2, PS2 isn’t better than Gamecube.
The software makes the system, and the user decides if the software is good.
I played Mario Party back in the day, now I believe it’s too childish, and I prefer, say, Ghost Recon.
But a 10 year old might say Ghost Recon is too violent, or boring and slow, and that Mario Party is much better.
I couldn’t think of an example.
I’m not trying to say that everyone should see it as a kiddie game, I’m just saying I do. Again, proving, that the user decides which games are good.
If I think Unreal Championship is cra-p, (AND I DO), that doesn’t mean everyone else does. But it’s certainly junk in my eyes. Ugh.
Anyways, you can’t say one system is ‘better’ than the other unless you’re going on specs rather than how much people enjoy them. That’s how it is.
Man - it’s fantastic!! I had a chance to play it at Zellers the other night (it comes out on Wednesday here)
I couldnt belvie it. I am an IGN insider and downloaded a video review of the game with a bunch of movies and such. It’s breathtaking - I can harldly wait!
My kiddy comment about mario party wasn’t based on the looks, it was based on my gaming tendencies. if it were based on looks, I wouldn’t give a …poo, about the new Zelda.
I think the new look is a welcome change, and I hope it lives up to Ocarina. Now I just need a GC, my N64 apparently doesn’t cut it anymore.
if i import from the us or japan, i have to pay tax - and then a game can cost me up to £100. But my local game shop gets them in all the time, at great rates. zelda is going to cost me around £40 (about the same as a uk game)
here goes - usa software runs on ntsc - uk on pal
the reason it takes so long though (even though the language is the same) is that the games have to be translated into all european languages for european release. THIS SUCKS I KNOW! thats why i have always had us/jap consoles
I don’t understand, still. I know the NTSC PAL conflict is like, nothing, and could be taken care of easy, but why all the languages? And why is your hardware different? I mean, can’t they just sell the US/Jap vers. with an AC converter? …or something?!
The reason I don’t understand is —> US/Can games aren’t made into French//Mexican, so why should games in England be? France and Italy and whatever can wait the extra months, but I don’t get why English speaking nations (coughthe UKcough) should.
