fan looks wierd, most fans would be more boxey like an air conditioning unit, and the chimneys either need to be round rather than square or add a collar/sleeve to the top

nice fan but my untrained eye says, no fan. Too alone, i don’t see it’s purpose really, 1 fan for a whole building? If not it should be smaller and more of them. IMO, of course, no way I could make this…
when a fan is on the roof of a building it is usually part of a air conditioner but your fan looks more like a wall fan that is installed in a window (maybe put it in a side wall).
most chimneys like coal powerplants have round columns that taper towards the top and house chimneys tend to have a collar at the top or a cap that widens slightly. that would finish off the look of the chimney instead of how right now they look like towers.
There are fans like that on some major industrial buildings, but they’re going to have grates / covers over them. Right now everything would be falling in your fan.
No dude the fan looks sweet, keep it, but you now if you want you could add more detail to the roof sections like ducting (venting and water pipes) and maybe an entry way… gotta have a way to get on the roof, satalite antennas, satalie dish, cables… you know normal roof gack… that would set it off right…

I agree some more details on the roof would make the fan stand out less. Right now it’s sitting there on the roof saying “look, i’m out of place and lonely”
tru with the fan also I see you have rounded the edges as I suggested, but maybe rounded a lil too much. But thats cool it is comin along nicely.
Well, first off - thanks again for all your imput. I agree with you all. I’ve got some ideas for some ventilation, and the grate on the fan. As for the chimneys, I’m going to detail them a little more, and make them a little more conical as opposed to cubic. I’m debating over the entrance, but so far I’m liking it.
Second, I’ve discovered a new referance, but the funny thing is - it’s right out side my school and I never really though about it untill today :lol: Alright, it’s not that funny, but at the time I was beating my self up for not realising it. Well, anyway, I’m not really sure what the building is for - but I know this:
- It’s made of concrete, and it has reinforced windows. It looks like a jail, but I can’t be sure. (It’s a little small. Maybe only the size of a moderate sized house. Perhaps a tad wider.)
- it has a barbed wire fence around it, facing in. IE: They are trying to keep something in. (I wish I was joking about this.)
But anyway, it’s got the look and feel that I’m looking for. Funny, really.
