Should AI keep the seams visible?

A lot of AI tools seem to be chasing the feeling of a perfect ship computer: one calm voice, no friction, no awkward handoff. But in real products, those seams are often where people notice bad assumptions, missing context, or just plain weird output.

I’m curious where people land on this — do you want AI to hide the machinery and feel seamless, or keep enough rough edges that you can tell when a human needs to step in?
