okay so i keep noticing some creator tools make the process so smooth that i stop feeling like i actually did anything. the output shows up fast, but the middle part where you learn the shape of the work kind of disappears.
has anyone else run into that? i like a fast workflow as much as anyone, but sometimes the tiny bits of resistance are what tell me i’m still steering.
I get this in Unreal when I lean too hard on templates/Marketplace stuff—suddenly the level “works, ” but I didn’t earn any intuition about why it works.
What gets me is when the tool removes the “commit” moment—no render time, no compile, no drying paint—so you never really pay a cost for a decision, and everything feels reversible, even when it isn’t.
