I really am not sure 
His tutorials, well, could be a little better in explaining what it is the user is going to be doing I don’t have school for the next few days, I might consider looking into his tutorials and probably re-writing it. Think that it is feasible? Or should I just scrap that idea altogether?

Well, I don’t know. The first one is really Dan’s alpha tutorial but not even half as good, both in design and in coding practices. But the second one deserves a second chance. That menu is awesome, so I’d say yeah, take it, crush it, rewrite it (especially the code, please :P), but I think it’s worth a tute.
