I certainly prefer the first one but I believe you could do plenty more to improve the logo further. Keep at it :).
Perhaps add something more to the background of the first logo?

I think that last one is a winner. Could you do anything symbolic to the logo. To further brand it? But it looks fine that way but it does not stain the brain…ya know what I mean?

The Company is fairly small, so generic is what they seem to be going after.
