I know how to automaximize, hard for me to explain and I have never done it with a javascript pop up script.
Hmm, maybe this can help you :-\

I have noticed something on the Mac IE, concerning the chromeless window, and that is after the window is opened, the Flash site from which it was spawned, becomes blank. If you mouse around the page, you can uncover rollover buttons, but that is about all. Has anyone else encountered this? It has happened on both OS 9 and X.
It is probably just what happens. Are you using the new IE for Macs? They could have changed it in that one too, which is causing this problem.
Okay everyone, I have a working prototype of this… check it out. I have recreated the buttons for the webpages.
I think I have covered every aspect of people trying to steal pictures and information from the website as well as was able tog et rid of all the ■■■■ toolbars out there and save the space myself.
Try the close this page button I added… No pop up from M$.
The only thing that I have yet to do is disable the print screen button on the keyboard… If you guys find any other way of stealing the pictures let me know so I can cover that too.
Thanks
Nothing works for me. I click on the pictures, they depress and come back out, but no pop up occurs.
yeah I screwed up with the THML file… it is fixed… check it again
Pretty good.
A lot of people will highly dislike the full screen thing though. Even though it has controls at the top, it still draws them away from any other windows they have open that may or may not be of importance to them.
I hate to say that… there is always a way for someone to steal your pictures. I don’t know of a way to disable the print screen button, but if you figure it out, there is always a billion screen capture programs out there that do the same thing that you can’t disable
Yes I realize that, I am going to take the full screen away. I didn’t realize that I still had that as fullscreen=1; I am taking that out of there. Like I said, it is a prototype. Just as long as the controls work. I want to have full control over what they select and what they do on the webpage. The website is not going to be full screen though. There won’t be any controls other than what I put there, however it won’t be fullscreen.
I didn’t think about those… yeah… well at least I can make it as hard for them as possible…lol
I know that you can disable certain keys by using JavaScript and when a key is pushed it will provide a alert(); however, I will just modify that so that it does not do anything like a void();
The print screen has a value to it just as the “A” key does or the space bar does. It is just a matter of finding the value and blocking it.
The fullscreen effect should be off now. I have taken it off.
Flashhappy.
Are you talking about the Gift Baskets site? If so, the link keeps popping up as a register.com page.
Really, where are you located at… I am going to send this forum over to our host… it should only take 72 hours to to have full DNS… please list just town and state, that way when our hosting company sees it, they will have a good idea of what is going on… You are the 4th person to tell me that they could not get to the website in this past week. Thanks for the feedback.
I have just sent it off to them… I apologize for you not being able to get in… Maybe you might enjoy this website as well.
I am located in Menomonie, WI
Thanks, I was just about to post that our host has already located the problem… they have fixed the problem and it should be 72 hours (once again) and we will be fully up on the internet after DNSing take effect.
Give us a try back after 72 hours and I think you will like what you see… the full site should be up by then
You should be able to see the web site now, although we are still having many DNS problems across the internet.
■■■■ it! Okay, there seems to be some major problems with the DNS for this web site. I will get a hold of my ISP again and find out what is going on.
Thanks for trying. I will have this taken care of in one week, yet once again and get back to you. Sorry.
I have one other question for you about your popupscentered code, is there anyway that i can also specify the margins through the javascript? I want to try using the javascript to also open a jpg file externally from flash, i have working, but the default margins screw things up. I dont want to create an individual html page for each image that I want to open in a new window, it works fine now by passing the jpg filename instead of an html page filename, I just want to specify the margins to 0.
Thx,
H1pchek
p.s. oh and one other thing…is there anyway that I can specify the tilte at the top of the page? I don’t think I can since I am not truly opening an html page.
If you are opening the picture itself, then the answer is no… none that I know of. Someone else may know different. You may want to ask this question in www.were-here.com forums as well. However, if you want to do this in a separate HTML page then you have full control over what it will look like and where the margins are as well as how big the .jpg shows up on the webpage. (and you won’t have to worry about IE6 auto-resizing your image.)
Hope it helps
Also,
to everyone else that cannot get to www.WorldFamousGiftBaskets.com
I called my ISP and they said that they have no control over whether or not your ISP’s update their DNS or not. There is nothing they can do. They told me that I will have to call all of them that cannot get the page and tell them to update their DNS servers. Does anyone know an easier way?
Flash_Happy is right, you cannot define the margins or title when opening an image. You will have to load an HTML page where you can adjust that yourself.
Flash_Happy: You can turn off the auto resizing of pictures through Tools/Internet Options… definitely a good option, I did that right away…lol.
Oh I know you can turn it off, however you cannot turn it off on someone else’s computer when they view your image. That was my point.
