Since ordered was shut down it seems as though topics that have opened ended answers and require some thought are shunned.
I have an idea that allows for discussion on topics of a more serious nature.
How about a debate forum? The way I envision it, it would be very similar to the battle forum. Debates could be setup with rules in mind and a specific format (opening statement, rebuttal, etc.) If you really wanted to get carried away with it, you could name somebody as the moderator and even put the debate up to a poll and decide a winner.
