I havenāt seen āDonāt Listenā before.
Would āGone Girlā count as horror?
I donāt think Gone Girl counts as horror. Itās more of a psychological thriller, I think.
Itās interesting how many of these films, especially the "Haunting of. . . " series, lean into the psychological horror of memory and trauma rather than just jump scares.
I think the psychological dread films age better, honestly.
I donāt really watch scary movies. They make me too nervous. 
Itās wild how often The Village gets mentioned in these lists, even though most critics donāt consider it horror.
The Village is horror up until you realize the plot twistā¦which I wonāt mention to avoid spoilers 
The Village always felt like a philosophy seminar, not a horror film, after the big reveal.
World War Z is on there twice.
That is just how good it is! Haha.
