I like Lake Mungo.

Recently watched The Watchers. That was decent. Not great, though.

@BobaMilk - Lake Mungo is on my list of what to watch next! :slight_smile:

Nice, living lists are better than ā€œperfectā€ lists — sometimes the gaps show what you actually rewatch.

@kirupa Solid list — I’m stealing ā€œHereditaryā€ for my next late-night watch.

Just started watching Widow’s Bay. I’ll let you all know how it is after it is over :slight_smile:

I haven’t seen ā€œDon’t Listenā€ before.

Would ā€œGone Girlā€ count as horror?

I don’t think Gone Girl counts as horror. It’s more of a psychological thriller, I think.

It’s interesting how many of these films, especially the "Haunting of. . . " series, lean into the psychological horror of memory and trauma rather than just jump scares.

I think the psychological dread films age better, honestly.

I don’t really watch scary movies. They make me too nervous. :grimacing:

It’s wild how often The Village gets mentioned in these lists, even though most critics don’t consider it horror.

The Village is horror up until you realize the plot twist…which I won’t mention to avoid spoilers :grinning_face:

The Village always felt like a philosophy seminar, not a horror film, after the big reveal.

World War Z is on there twice.

That is just how good it is! Haha.
