Yes. That is a fantastic series. Sadly, I feel I am exhausting the list of good horror movies and shows that don’t rely exclusively on gore as their main selling point.
Hereditary and The Haunting of Hill House still stick with me because they earn the dread instead of just throwing jump scares around.

I forgot about Midnight Mass. Added it to my list. Towards the end it got a bit heavy into the gore fest, but it got back to a more mellow rhythm quickly afterwards 
Hereditary still sticks with me, and The Haunting of Hill House nailed that slow dread in a hallway scene.
