Oh and I should prolly add that FF wasn’t a scary movie at all
You’ve seen both right? The American version was weak as crap… The first korean Ju-on was ok, the second was better IMO
I also saw the Amityville Horror a few weeks ago, I reeeally had my expectations set high, but again… no go…
Btw has anyone here seen Rose Red by Stephen King ?
Yeah Red Rose is alright, but I’m not the biggest King fan. For me, the Ring movies fit into the subcategory of “movies that make you jump.” These are not necessarily scary, but make you **** your pants. I too really like the Shining. The first time I saw that was at 2:00 AM in a 10th floor apartment. I had to turn it off at the one scene where this old lady is in a bath tub (if you’ve seen it). A wouldn’t see it again for the longest time and then did about 2 years later. I had some crazy dreams about mazes for a while.
What about Mars Attacks? haha
some good scary movies
the Shining
alien (the original, first one)
predator (my girls scared by it, but I just think it’s a classic Arnie movie)
also if you like laughing at horror movies try Repossesed, the leslie neilsen exorcist spoof…funny movie
by the way I can’t believe no-ones mentioned the first Alien movie
‘dark water’ and ‘the ring’… good horror movie
i usually laugh at most horror movies. Some so called horror movies are like comedy movies
umm teehee i guess i m the scaredy cat type then…lol since i dont laugh at horror movies and teehee i confess i found the exorcist quite scarey
laffs…am i the only one who gets freaked out by those Chucky doll moviess…?
^ no buddy.
some horror are really scary. i have seen many japenese horror movies… but cannt recall the names.
edit: but its a treat to watch a horror movie
Has anyone seen Hostel? Just looking at the images at Pixelsurgeon and the stupid plot makes this movie not something I think about watching.
Man i was scared of chucky, ED209 for robocop. Even gremlins at one point. Jaws scared me too. Even the thing in the trash can on seasame street use to haunt me going to the toilet.

Recently nothing has scared me. Hostel isn’t anything scary, a bit gorey, and I have pretty high threshold for what gore freaks me out, well I’m yet to find it really. I wasn’t impressed with the film really, I can understand some people will easil be scared/disturbed about some bits, but I wasn’t impressed with the lack of punch in the story
Exorcist (original) is the only film that makes me feel uncomfortable, wouldn’t hurry to pick it up again.
Loads of films can make u jump, like silent hill ,where she treads on a tash can lid, that bit made me jump big time the rest was good, but not IMO scary.
I love scary films, but none really scare me as such…
All horror movies scare the piss out of me. But few stay with me. I would classify Jaws as a horror movie and to this day I still don’t want to swim in the ocean.
Another movie that was actually a documentry back in the late 70’s about bigfoot scared the crap out of me. I stay out of the woods at night because of it. I have this dream of opening my front door and bigfoot standing there, I scream and wake up. We need a really scary bigfoot movie.
Couple good horror movies would be Jaws, Dawn of the Dead, Alien, Sleepyhollow, and The Shining.

WTF? I can’t imagine why people would call the Exorcist (and in India, Evil Dead is hyped up even moreso) scary or anything close to scary. That girls keeps doing all sortsa circus-like stunts of rotating her head 360 degrees and pukes out weird colored stuff and when the priest comes in she starts cursing him… ■■■■ funny!
Although there is one movie which kinda creeped me out… Did not scare me one bit… But really really creeped me out due to it’s disturbing concept. And the bad part is when the movie ended I fell in love with it and wanted to watch it again. But I did not catch the name of the movie and they never showed it on HBO again.
Here are some instances from the movie, please someone help me find it again if you can?
It’s a story about a very very shy and an extremely introvert girl. Uber nerdy types. Has no friends, no parents, no one to talk to. She has never done anything wrong in her life, nothing. Never touched a guy, never smoked, never had a drink, never cursed anyone, ya’ll get the point right?
Ok, so she sees this super fly guy and has this girly crush on him and keeps trying to talk to him. Once she gets to talk to him, they start hangin out, she falls in love with him, blah blah blah…
Then, one day she dresses up in a blood red (haunting) dress and goes to meet the guy. She knocks on his door and he comes out in his underwear and she sees another girl on the sofa (clearly starting with it all) and is heart broken.
She immediately turns into a maniac and goes home and finds some sorta dagger and then she goes back to the guys house and kills both the girl and the guy (who were hitting it off) and takes their limbs back home with her. Then, she starts on some homicidal streak and collects other people’s parts.
One fine night, she’s in her room (which is dim and creepy as hell) and she begins to sow all the limbs together and makes some sorta ugly doll out of it all. But the face isn’t there. Instead of that she makes the face with some rags and stuffs it with some more rags to make the doll’s head.
Then she notices it has no eyes and starts saying (in a creepy way): “Look at me… Look at me…”
And then she cries because she realizes that she has killed so many people and doesn’t wanna kill anymore. To give the doll an eye, she gets up, takes a pair of scissors in her hand and PULLS ONE OF HER EYEBALLS OUT!!! (OK, even this did not scare me, as I could see it coming. The creepy part follows now…)
Then the scene goes blank and all you can hear is her crying out in pain. HORRIBLY!!!
The next scene shows her trying to fix that eyeball on the rag-face by just pressing on it and the eyeball keeps falling off. She falls face first onto the bed laying beside the “doll” and keeps crying and all the while keeps saying: “All I wanted was a friend… All I wanted was for you to love me…” and the movie ends!
Now those final lines really bugged the crap outta me and I wanna watch that movie again… And again… And 100x more!
Please someone tell me the name of the movie… Please please please!?
[ot]I sincerely hope that my post has not succeeded in haunting someone’s existence for all eternity. Because I know the whole thing is extremely disturbing.[/ot]
I have no idea what movie that is phoenix but it sounds awful…
Even things that make most people jump dont really get me, What lies beneath was a good flick more etective drama which I love and I saw it in theaters…most people jumped so hi they nearly ripped off the arm of the person they were sitting with when she appears in the tub:love: but I just laughed at all the other people being freaked out…
I have seen Alien suggested but I actually LOATHE those movies…I have been force to watch them and feel asleep about 5 minutes into each one…I mean seriously think of the names they have for them…face huggers/chest bursters or something like that! I do think though that would be scary if I was into that type of stuff…
Maybe I will try the shinning and the grudge…
lol chances are the shining will crack you up too, or at least parts - its pretty old. But a good movie you should have in your mental library anyway. :thumb:
^^ Xenomorph :thumb:
///Edit
Also Phoenix - if you remember the name of that movie please post it - that so sounds like something I would want to watch
How can I remember it? I never even got to know it’s name dude!
You need to watch the shining for the big wheel scene anyway. best bit of filming IMO. I also loved the gamily guy take on it with stewie
How does the old grudge compare to the new grudge? I’ve only seen the sarah michelle gellar one, and that wasn’t that amazing
Well if the Korean version is full of Korean-looking people and the American version is full of american-looking people, then I watched the Korean version. If it’s a voice-over with American voices or something then I’m not sure
Sounds similar to May, not sure if it’s the movie you’re talking about, but it is pretty sick too
