As some of you may have guessed, I was the one who banned Aislin. I was feeling really depressed that day (medically, in other words, serious), and that one remark made by him to “not listen to Sephiroth” (me in other words), really threw me off. I know I went a little far by telling him to suck mine, and i’m sorry for that too.
I tried to escape it all by noting that I would be leaving the forum for good and even requested being banned. As a last act of power (as a moderator) I banned Aislin.
In all honesty, I would apologize to him, but quite frankly, I don’t like him…at all. He makes some of the most offending comments i’ve seen:
the pope isn’t going to hurt you, just send leagues of priests to have sex with you, that’s all.
If you think i’m a bad person, ban me. As a matter of fact, make Aislin a moderator and have him ban me. But if not, i’ll definitely keep my cool next time and not make those kind of comments anymore.
So i’ll delete that message of me leaving for good (because obviously i have not), and i’ll let the rest of the council sentence me as they please.
Other than telling him what you did, I don’t really think you did anything wrong. He can be very annoying, but again, he is just another immature kid that cruises this forum trying to make people laugh. he says things that he thinks are funny… I don’t find him too amusing so I try to ignore him as much as possible. Try to not be depressed, but I nkow what its like… I have bipolar and I often have the same problem…
Hey Thoripes… I can completely understand. I can’t stand Aislin either, he is incredibly annoying to me. But technically he has caused no trouble on the forum that is worth banning yet (although deep deep down I really hope he does sometime :evil:)
And we have all been in those moods (I know I have at least).

Aislin posted the same comment the other day on one of the threads and I had to edit it out. Personally, I dislike him too since he’s rude and doesn’t know when to stop.
Thor, I don’t agree with what you did, but I can see why you did it. I myself, would probably do the same if I was in your position. The important thing is that you’re mature enough to admit fault so that’s good. =)
Ive talked and worked with Aislin a lot outside of the forums. Hes all good and fine to me. But yes, he is ‘just a kid’ for whatever its worth so his maturity level is lacking; and with that he may act a little inappropriately, but not with bad intention. He doesnt mean harm (from what I can tell), though some of the things he says may seem offensive or just not right. I was the same way when I was that young - not too much different now

I wonder what its like to be normal… can anyone tell me? Is it fun?
Thor, next time tell me so that we can ban people together. Group efforts always work better! Who else wants some banning action, you have no clue how good that ban button feels!
I think I’ve proven quite clearly that even some of our most calm members (I concider myself such) can really lose it at times. We are all subject to emotional fits at times.
I’m reserving judgement on aislin for now though. I’ll admit that I laughed at the pope joke he made… but I knew at the time that no one but me would find it funny. He certainly is pushing the boundaries with his humor. Just remember to try your best to see these statements for the intent that he is putting into them. I honestly think that he just has a strange sense of humor, and heck… all us mods have a pretty strange sense of humor.
He probebly just needs a little gentle push now and again to remind him that someone may take offense to his statements, when we come across them.
