I like it.
The yellow is one of the more unusual colours for a website (the only one I really know to use it as a background colour is Ren’s Pixelsensei), and it works well. Quite clean, not too busy. I’d like to see more of it though - how you are going to handle transitions between sections, that kind of thing.

Looks pretty clean so far, the only thing I can add to what has already been said is that your layout seems a bit large. If you’re not planning on having a lot of content then maybe shorten the height of your layout. I’m on 1024x768 and already I have to scroll to see the bottom, imagine someone who has a 800x600. Even if you chopped off 200 pixels off the height, that would still leave you with plenty of space to work with. Good luck. =)

I wwould say you oar on the right track. Is some more animations and stuff going to happen over the face at the top. If not I would maybe make that a little smaller.
