I always noticed that if somebody makes one slightly negative mac comment, all the mac users flock in herds to that thread and go “Windows Sucks!”, etc.
Yet, in the other way around, smart PC users don’t happen to complain much about Windows. I think I have hit upon the solution as to why Mac users try to bash Windows all the time.

Actually… one seldom sees the macsters bashing pc’s…usually the other way 'round. More accurate is someone says anything slightly positive about macs and the jung horde comes in and starts their “mac’s suck” thingy

I think you will find however kman, that most mac users have experienced the ‘other’ platform, so they understand the benifits from both. On the other hand, you dont have to be a ‘smart user’ to benifit from a mac…

That’s true - ignorance plays a large part. I spend some free time on hardware sites and there the arguments there about Mac vs. PC are a little bit more…“intense” than here so I don’t mind either way 
Well… Here is the final judgement… It is very true that Macs were to become obsolete… So bad that they were going to allow their computer OS to be created by outside companies (COmpaq and Dell for example)…
Microsoft seen them groaning and moaning and trying to recover… So out of one of the greatest business investments in the world, gave Macintosh so much money to stay alive… Therefore ensuring that Microsoft would no longer be a monopoly…
However… Macintosh’s are now doomed by contract to never allow an outside company to create their system until I think after the year 2010? I’m not totally sure off the top of my head to tell you the truth… But that’s about what it is like…
The IE thing…? Didn’t know that one though…
So… I think if anything… MAC users should appreciate what Microsoft has done for them…
I know it sounds insane… (believe me)… But you know how business goes…
I have used mac’s and I must say the main gripe I have is the availability of certain software and price. I have not had any of the problems that most pc users have had, but mac’s are cool if that is what floats your boat. It is just that pc’s are so wide spread you have more folks who do not maintain their computer right. I bet if it was the other way around, everyone and their mama had a mac and pc was the minority you would hear the same stuff about macs.
Moral of the story is most folks who complain A. have not had both platforms so they should not be even saying anything and B. do not take care of their pc and cant afford a mac so they jump on the bandwagon.
I’ve had both platforms, I’ve worked on both platforms, I’ve ordered partsd from both platforms and I’ve diagnosed from both platforms…
PC’s are alot easier to gte parts ordered and shipped for… They are inexpensive to find… And they are relatively easy to just throw in and work with…
MAC’s… Albeit… Are easier to screw with… But have expensive parts that are extremely hard to find and get shipped. But… Most of the time you don’t have to worry about parts… Because they usually aren’t needed. But… When you do need parts… You might as well bend over and kiss your own ***. I think it’s easier…
It’s a give an take relationship… DO you go for Extreme Quality with a cost… Or go with functionability and inexpensiveness? If we all had the money and no need for extreme functionability or choice… Then we all would have Macs… Unfortunately… People love the ability to choose from hundreds of things… So we stick with PC’s… Plus, look at the economy right now… Sucks doesn’t it? How many people in the world can actually afford a Mac? Hell, I can’t even afford a Mac right now! lol
I personally do not have any beef with MACs… If I did, I wouldn’t service them (duh…)…
I had the dough for a mac but I went Alienware. Software availability was a big reason for my decision. Not really much of a comp tech but I think pc’s are just misused sp the get a bad rap. Seriously I have had not problems from my gateway that I use more than my alienware in 4 years not one.
Yeah man… I agree… Yeah… PC’s need to be maintained a little more than Macs… But I really never have any serious flaws with them.
Same here. I have my AV and WindowsUpdate to download and install updates automatically in the background, so I don’t have any problems either
