Hello there boys and girls.
I’m in the middle of redoing (actually creating) my online identity.
I’m building a portofolio site, but so far I’m stuck at the logo creation and name :P. I’ve finaly managed to choose the name but I can’t decide on how the logo should look.
This are the logos that I’ve come up with so far for my new site to be goflash.org.
Please post your oppinions on this and tell me if you don’t like any of this. And maybe if you have some ideeas you’ll be so kind to share them with me :ne:
^^ Agreed (with simplistik), however is it possible to extend the extending stem of the G? I read it and understand it as “go” however maybe if you pushed it a little further it might be more understandable. Push it to the point of being TOO MUCH, pull it back and your set. *tweak it =)
I really feel though that 4b is your best option. It feels natural and organic, yet holds a “techy” and contemporary feel to it.
4a feels TOO organic and looks too much like a whole-foods grocery store.
While the others do seem fresh, their maybe a little “too” fresh. They remind me of a couple things.
bank logo
goodwill logo
travel company logo
(1) is okay, however dosn’t hold my attention
(2) is too heavy
(3) gg, NEXT!
While simplicity is definitely a strong characteristic of a logo this one is just bland doesnt really tell me anything than FLASH.
3.If flash was a hairstyle product for men this would be a good logo. Not agressive enough.
4a.Close but loses me with the bottom tail which throws off your symmetry.
4B.Definitely your best bet I would extend the tail of the G just a little bit to complete the look. My eye naturally follows the curves of the other circles and I expect for it to continue but you stop the bottom curve just a little too early finish the bottom arc and it will complement the top better.
I think that 4B and 2 are your strongest ones…but with 4B I think you might be able to play with that one a little more and come up with just a slightly different design where the “o” could be closer and more to the side of the “g” to make it def. look like “go” … good ideas all together though.
Thank you very much guys for taking your time to write me some lines. Hat off.
Heh, unclesond. I had something very similar to that (an older version). But problem is that it’s too close to the infinite sign. I tryed to avoid becoming too philosophic with this.
Also. The 5th one is from a friend. But seems too aggressive. What do you guys think?
I agree, the 5th from your friend seems too forced, and maybe even (cmd-t) hehe transformed or squished.
Your earlier version looks almost too clean, I REALLY like your newest versions of where the circular O of the G and O are tilted slightly. (4B)
It sets the logo apart from your standard familiar ideas. I think your earlier ones ( the one you think looks like infinity ) seems too familiar and done. 4B really sets you apart, and again I feel is your strongest approach. I’d tweak and go with that.
I have to disagree - it seems too forced, and familiar. nothing new here.
5 and 6 are both great.
I would go with 6 though only cause its contained more and would be easier to duplicate. But they are both really good.
Nice job.
i think the G looks too much like a 9. my suggestion would be to go this route (cleaned up, of course). the G is just taken from Georgia just so you know what part i’m referring to, it obviously doesn’t fit the font style you have but if you re-created it within the style of the rest of the logo i think it’d look cool and more recognizable as a G.
Thank you guys. I’ve tryed something like mprzybylski suggested but it came out preety ugly.
Finally I’ve come up with something that I’m really pleased with ( The last version here)
What do you think?
It can be a symbol by it’s own. It has simetry. And yet the go can be read (although a little bit forced). Hope I’m not too way off.
I really like that last one, 4B is nice like I said b4, but that last one is pretty unique, and the go is descrete which I like too. The only thing that you’ll have to take in to consideration is that you’ll need to put go flash in regular type accompanying that particular logo, in some cases. But other than that I think it’s strong and marketable.
