yea the nav is quite odd too - if you need to put hints telling people where it is then its probably an indication that its not working too well.

splash screen looks simple, that’s the way i like it:)
i had some trouble finding the nav too, i agree with matthejumps there, put hints. but overall, i like it;)
The loading time on my pc is pretty slow in all honesty. And same with buttons not exactly clear where to click. Also the text is pretty unreadable on the ‘Welcome to my portfolio’ part but then i am on a 1280 resolution so maybe at 1024 its readbable. I do like the transitions though between the various sections. :azn:

I know what your going for “look & feel” wise. It’s almost there, but not quite yet. I love the simplicity of it, but it’s really lacking. It’s as if the simplicity is killing it. Overall it’s very flat, and almost distracting.
Here’s my thoughts //
Your renderings are beautiful, Very talented - try taking one of those, capture the emotion, feeling, style, design, composition, EVERYTHING about that particular rendering and build your site from that.
I think you could take some of the complex elements you have in your renderings, SIMPLIFY them down, creating your navigational menu, composition and look and feel of your site, you would successfully pull off the look and feel you want / need.
Your good at what you do, I’d apply that to your webdesign as well.

the splash and preloader is nice… The site can use some work, it doesn’t look “whole”… The navigation was hard to find, and hard to navigate with. For example, when I click ‘Inspiration’, I have no clue what to expect. I really like your photos! I agree with michael.
took a while to load for me.
I like the layout of your site, i think it could really work. i’m just not sure about the colours, red/grey isnt doing much for me, kinda seems ‘dull’ ya know? The red also seems a touch too glary for me as well.
Some of the 3D work is really great, but the site doesn’t do it justice at all. I agree with what Michael said about incorporating some of your work into the site. I couldn’t find any navigation apart from left and right on my first visit to your site, then I looked around and found the other buttons on my second visit. That is not cool bro. Maybe you should spend more time designing it on paper first, then putting it together.
Also please put in a button to turn off the music.
thanks guys for all the suggestions. I did rush this site because it was the prepro to the actuall portfolio. I was just trying to get a general idea of what people thought when they went to it. Like you guys stated to fix the nav and incorperate my 3d rendering into it. I totally agree. This was meant to be like a behind the scenes of the actuall site. I will make sure to state that in the revision.
